My wife is having an affair with the Printz-honor winning young adult author Markus Zusak. Yes, I am well aware that he lives in Sydney and has a wife and daughter. But how can you explain the fact that we had three copies of The Book Thief, two of which were signed to Wendi personally? And not only was this one signed, it was inscribed with a cryptic message that proves Wendi's infidelity...
"Dear Wendi, so here is a small note to THANK YOU! Here's to life, death, and Long Island..."

Wendi claims to have no knowledge or understanding of this inscription. I am phoning my lawyers.

I think there must be a mistake! First of all, Wendy is not is not spelled correctly. But this could be her alias (clever). Secondly, He doesn't look like much of a ditch digging stoking machine!
Perhaps it was only a fling, and he never saw her name spelled, just heard it. "I thought we said no questions. Now let's enjoy our Long Island Iced Teas out here on...Long Island."
*sigh*
Oh, dear. Zusak IS awfully cute. But I don't think he can build a chicken coop that could withstand a Force 5 hurricane...
