YAY for you writing (more - I guess your most recent baseball novel counts, too) fantasy! Can't wait to read THAT!
Have you studied cartography? Making maps, especially good maps is hard work. Good luck.
Ha. No. I haven't studied cartography. This isn't really a map for publication--it's first and foremost a map for me to get a handle on my alternate reality United States, but it's also, I hope, something that will help me sell the book. I'd of course love to see a map in the front of the book, should it ever get published, but if that happens, it *won't* be my map that makes it. Someone with some real artistic or map-making skills will have to redo it. :-)
