Gratz Industries HQ: The Bottom's Up!

>> Tuesday, January 8, 2008

Not a lot of crafting happening lately - because we've been busy working on our house. We've had fabulous weather lately so we finished siding as much as we can reach without scaffolding. AND we painted. AND we cut the battens that will cover the seams between panels. Let me tell you - ripping 3" strips from 4' x 8' sheets of siding - each sheet weighing in at over 70 pounds - was no fun at all. But they'll look beautiful when they're up. Here are a few pics showing where we stand so far.

I loved the way the wavy shadows looked on the crisp lines on the side of the house so here's a closer pic of that.

Isn't that pretty? Someday, after we've moved in and planted a bunch more trees, the whole house will look like this.

Now we've got rain coming in so I'll be spending my free time in my sewing room instead of out working on the house. I can't wait to finish the handwarmers!
